Moving houses is often a challenging task. When all the technical things are done and you finally move in, your new home won't always feel like home right away. You may find yourself referring to it as the "new house" while your old place will still be referred to as "home."   Getting adjusted to a new living situation takes time, so it shouldn't worry you that you don't feel like you're truly home yet. Performance fabrics have become increasingly popular over the years. And although these fabrics aren't invincible, they're far more cleanable and durable than others than the market; making them perfect options for those with small children or who prefer to worry a little less when it comes to their upholstery.   We spoke to Cindy Rubenfeld, our manager in Middleton, about the three most well-known performance fabrics, Sunbrella, Crypton, and Ultrasuede.     What are they?   Sunbrella   Sunbrella was originally invented for outdoor purposes with a heavy canvas feel that was extremely durable and fade-resistant. But the truth is, 'florals' is a blanket term that encompasses many different styles of prints; from the ultra-feminine and dainty to more abstract bold patterns.   Regardless of your style, you can find a way to incorporate florals into your home in a way that's unique to you.     A modern ...

City living can often mean that your space is limited. And even if you don't live in the city, smaller, narrower rooms can prove challenging. But there's no reason you can't have the design you desire with a smaller scale.   And scale is really what it's all about. When you're designing a smaller room it's all about optimizing the space you do have in the best way possible.   James Keeter, a Design Consultant in our Boston showroom, often works with customers who are looking to make the most out of their smaller homes or apartments.
