When you first see the Louise by Norwalk Furniture, it may look like just another sectional. But what you may not realize is that it’s fully customizable with different style options you can pick and choose from to design your perfect piece. It’s like having a sectional that was made specifically for your home.

Features and functionalities of the Louise Sectional

When it comes to furniture, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer because everyone has different preferences. The Louise Sectional is great because it doesn’t address just one set of needs, or in other words:

“It can be made into something for everyone,” said Cindy Rubenfeld, the Store Manager in our Middleton design center.

Configurations

To start, the Louise is offered in a number of configurations. The sectional can have two or three seats on either side of a square corner or a curved (wedge) corner. The curved corner is the roomier option of the two - it’s almost like having an additional seat.

On top of that, the Louise comes in a sofa, loveseat, chair, or cuddle chair. All configurations have a seat depth of 23” and an overall depth of 38”, plus you’ll receive a set of throw pillows in your fabric of choice.

Because of its many configurations, you could furnish an entire room with just the Louise. Beth Troiano, a Design Consultant in our Pembroke design center, worked with a family that wanted a loveseat, sofa, two chairs, and an ottoman. And guess what? They were able to get everything they were looking for with the Louise.

“We did a texture on the sofa with more of a simple design and dressed up the chairs in a print with different legs and welting,” explained Beth. “The chairs complemented the sofa and loveseat scale-wise, but it didn’t look like it was part of a set.”

Arms and Legs

Once you’ve chosen a configuration, you’ll pick out an arm and leg style. The Louise can be designed with a track arm, thin track arm, rolled arm, or dual track arm, and all arm heights are 25”. Leg options include cylinder, wood (different finishes are available), tapered, and metal.

Cushions

With the Louise, you have the ability to choose which insert you want for the seat and back cushions. This gives you control over the comfort and firmness of your sectional so you have plenty of support. Additionally, back cushions can come button-tufted or non-tufted, and they’re available in either 35” or 37” high.

Here are a couple of tips about loose cushions:

  1. Pull the bottom of the back cushion out if you need a little more support.
  2. Rotate your cushions to maintain their shape and longevity. How often you do this will depend on:
  • Where you sit on your couch: If you’re always sitting in the same spot, then you want to rotate your cushions regularly.

  • The type of cushion core: If you have down cushion cores, for example, they need to be fluffed on a regular basis as well as flipped and turned because the down settles. When this happens, it can start to puddle (or leave an imprint).

*Please note that there’s an upcharge for certain cushion cores.

Cover

Norwalk offers a wide selection of fabrics in different colors, patterns, and textures. You can choose any one of them to achieve the look and feel you want your Louise to have. It’s also available in leather as well as performance fabrics like Crypton, Sunbrella, and more for something that cleans easily and can withstand daily wear and tear.

If you really wanted to go for a unique look, you could get the back cushion and the seat cushion in different fabrics.

Additional features

We’re not done yet! The Louise Sectional has a chaise option, which you can place on the right or left side (or even both), so you can stretch out while you read, watch TV, or nap. It also comes with or without welting.

Finally, three ottoman options - small (26” wide), large (36” wide), and hexagonal shaped (54” wide) - are available to pair with the Louise. While they don’t have storage, you can place a tray on top of your ottoman to utilize it as a table.

The price of your Louise Sectional will depend on the type of cushion core you choose as well as the cover. All other customization options come at no additional cost.

The best of both worlds: Customizable and versatile

Beth said the Louise is like a chameleon because “it can take on any personality, style, and feel that can match the look of your room.”

If you have a more contemporary home, then styling the Louise with a thin track arm and metal leg would make sense for your space. But if you gravitate towards a more traditional look, then you may consider a rolled arm, tapered leg, and welting.

“It’s fashion-forward in its design,” said Cindy. “I’d say you could make it dressy for a living room or you could dress it down and have a cozy, comfortable feel in your family room.

Even if you live in an apartment, you can still have style and quality because the Louise comes in different sizes that are viable for smaller spaces.

For example, Robin Lowe, a Design Consultant in Middleton, has the Louse in a 72” Condo Sofa styled with a track arm, tufted back, and performance fabric. It works well for her small space, even if her cats are the ones who get to sit on it more than she does!
